General informationPoland belongs to the Schengen area and not the eurozone. Please check with your local Polish embassy if you need a visa to enter Poland. The Polish currency is the zloty (zł or PLN): 1€~4.50PLN. Travelling to Warsaw:
Transportation:Warsaw ZTM public transportation company offers many routes by bus, tramway or metro. One can calculate itineraries on this website. Android, Apple, Windows apps are also available. 20-, 75-minute, and one-day tickets can be bought from vending machines located in many places around the city and metro stations, or sometimes directly in buses from automats. More information here. Please remember to validate your ticket when entering buses or tramways. Many taxi companies exist in Warsaw. A list of taxi companies can be found here. Uber and similar services are also widely used in Warsaw. Accommodation:Each participant is asked to arrange her/his own accommodation. There are many hotels located in the center of Warsaw including most international chains. e.g. Hotel Gromada, Ibis Budget Centrum, Ibis Stare Miasto, Ibis Centrum, Mercure Centrum, Novotel Centrum .. Airbnb and similar companies are also popular. Conference venue:The conference will take place in Staszic Palace which is the seat of the Polish Academy of Sciences. It is located at the address: and easily accessible by public transportation: metro station Nowy Świat-Uniwersytet (Line 2), bus stops Ordynacka, Uniwersytet, and Nowy Świat. Conference dinner:The conference dinner will take place on Thursday 30, at the Biblioteka Rolnicza.
