Niepołomice Royal Castle

Thank you for a wonderful conference!   See you at RRL2019!

The conference will take place in Niepolomice, a small town located in southern Poland on the bank of Vistula river, just 20 km from Krakow. The history of Niepolomice dates back to Middle Ages and is inextricably linked to the Niepolomice Forest. This large forest, rich in diverse flora and fauna, including European bisons, deers, wild boars, wolves and lynx, was a favourite hunting place for Polish kings. In the mid 14-th century, Casmir III the Great built the Niepolomice Royal Castle that served as a Royal hunting lodge for tens of years. Originally in the gothic style, the castle was rebuilt in the late Renaissance style in the 16th century. Reconstructed and renovated at the end of the 20th century, it now serves as a Museum, Hotel and a Conference Center in which our meeting will take place.

The city center of Niepolomice is located just 20 km away from the Royal Capital City of Krakow (Cracow). Historic Center of Krakow is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Niepolomice is easy to reach. The nearest international airport, Krakow-Balice, is just 40 km or a 30-minute drive away. Bus transportation from the airport will be organised; details will follow later.
