Guided tours are planned for Wednesday afternoon (5th September 2018). The conference dinner will take place on Thursday night (6th September 2018).

During registration you are welcome to take one of three options:

• Additional Information for the Visits to the Museums

We will meet at 14:30 outside the Warsaw University Library (on Wednesday, September 5). One bus will be waiting to take the participants to both museums (the bus will also bring people back to the Library). 

The plan is to leave at about 14:45. The museums are not very far from the Library, but there might be some traffic jam.

The first stop will be at the POLIN Museum of Polish Jews. The guided tour in English at POLIN starts at 15:30 and should last ~2 hours. Two members of the LOC will take part on this tour.

The second stop is at the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The guided tour in English at the Uprising Museum starts at 15:40 and should last ~2 hours. One member of the LOC will take part on this tour.

After the tours, the bus will collect people again and bring them back to Warsaw University Library.

There might be some waiting time while the bus goes from one museum to the other.

• Additional Information for the Walking Tour

The meeting point is the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument, at Krakowskie Przedmieście (or Royal Route). The meeting time is 15:00 (on Wednesday, September 5). The duration of the tour is of 2 hours. There will be three English speaking guides for us, so we will divide into three groups.

Please, wear your badges to facilitate identification. Two members of the LOC will take part on this tour.

• Additional Information for the conference dinner

The dinner, on September 6, will take place at the Belvedere Restaurant, which is located in the middle of the Royal Łazienki park (Agrykola 1, Warsaw). Dinner (buffet style) will be served at 19:30 but the restaurant will be open for us starting at 19:00. Our reservation ends at 23:30.

Small buses (for up to 20 people) will be provided to drive the participants from the Warsaw University Library to the Restaurant and back.

Before the dinner, the buses will be available starting at 18:30 at the parking lot close to the Copernicus Science Center (see map below - there is no place to park the buses by the Library). As soon as one bus is full, it will leave to the Restaurant. We expect that the last bus will leave at 19:00.

After the dinner, the buses will be available to go back to the Library starting at 23:00. As soon as one bus is full, it will leave. The last bus will leave from the Restaurant at 23:30.

You are of course also free to arrange your own transportation to and from the restaurant (by taxi or uber, for example) or to take public transportation. Nearby bus stops are Łazienki Królewskie (bus lines 116, 166, 180) or Spacerowa (bus lines 131, 167, 168, 180). You can check bus connections here.
